Brett A. Benkovics

Legal Assistant

Biography

Brett began his journey with the firm in September 2015 as a legal assistant while studying for the LSAT and applying to law school. He was immediately struck by the incredible sense of family among the team members and how everyone collaborated to provide the best representation for their clients. This client-focused culture of collaboration inspired Brett to pursue a long-term role with the firm.

Today, Brett assists the attorneys in the firm by providing essential research and drafting support. His passion lies in supporting legal solutions that enhance clients' lives. Helping clients find relief from stress and achieving favorable outcomes brings him immense joy.

Brett understands that the complexity of estate planning, combined with fears of probate and estate costs, can often leave clients feeling overwhelmed and confused. He prides himself on alleviating this stress by asking the right questions, determining the next steps, and helping clients achieve their goals.

Outside of work, Brett enjoys hunting and backpacking with family, friends, and his loyal dog, Yodi. When he gets the chance, he spends time at his family's cabin in Nisswa, fishing and enjoying the beauty of nature. Brett is also dedicated to supporting several nonprofits that are close to his heart, including Save the BWCA, Sportsman for the BWCA, Nature Conservancy, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, and Leech Lake Legacy.
